born one of 8 into a family of entrepreneurs in a rural MN town, anne’s midwestern work ethic was built in, but so was a sense of adventure. after pocketing degrees in spanish and international business & economics from st. kate’s, she packed her bags for california where a stint at a desk job led her to a woman-owned bakery gig. from there, she traded in her degree for a certificate from the san francisco baking institute and the rest is, you know.
she founded honey & rye in 2013, and through passion and perseverance - not to mention a wedding, a baby, a cancer diagnosis & recovery - she became the total bad a$$ pastry-slingin’ babe we know & love today.
